My name is Brittany Sandoval and I am an Active Duty Navy spouse! I am the biological mom of three wonderful girls and am also a foster mom to as many other kiddos that need me! All of my kids are the light of my life and being their mom is my biggest hobby! I have had the pleasure of providing breast milk for two of my three daughters, one of which I was able to exclusively breastfeed for 6 months and the other of which received my breast milk through a G-tube, which made our breastfeeding journey very unique. It also gave me a LOT of personal pumping experience!
I am a Registered Nurse and have spent most of my career caring for patients in Mother/Baby, NICU, and Pediatrics, meaning I have a lot of education in breastfeeding from a professional standpoint as well. I am now working as a Lactation Consultant at a local hospital, getting to help families in the immediate postpartum period, NICU and throughout their journey with outpatient appointments as well.
As military families, we often lack support or help when entering into motherhood without our family close by, and I love being able to act as a support person for other moms. Ultimately, building up and supporting other women is my biggest passion and I am honored to be a part of the MilitaryMommies team to bring that passion to my career!
Fun Fact: I love handwriting letters and thank you notes that are sealed with wax seal stamps!
Favorite TV Show: I don’t watch a ton of TV but if I do it is usually a medical show! I much prefer to read a good book!
